The TWI8301.I tire width inspection
is designed as an online device for measuring the width of rubber profiles. The system is based on computer vision with the use of a camera system and lights. The number of cameras depends on the width of the profile being measured, the required accuracy, and the chosen system design. For standard solutions, the width is measured within the defined accuracy on one plane only. If stereo vision measurement is chosen, the system can even detect the width correctly in three-dimensional space.
